MANAS has launched the pilot training programmes in Healthcare Aid / Home healthcare and Security Guards at New Delhi. Network with partner agencies is being developed for expanding its outreach & help it to acquire an All India footprint. It envisages to be an organization which will have the ability to provide skill development programs, for at least two lacs trainees per year, over a wide spectrum of skills, which are in demand, both within & outside the country. The Honble Prime Minister is expected to launch MANAS formally, in near future, at national level.
To begin with, the training facility at MANAS will be available for the members of the minority community however, once the networking with different training partners is stabilised in terms of curriculum, infrastructure, certification & placement, the training facility will be open for members of all other sections on payment of fees, to cover only the training expenses.
MANAS has already entered into an MOU with NSDC, Health Sector Skill Council (HSSC), Security Sector Skill Development Council (SSSDC) to establish an extensive All India Collaborative training network for the academy. An MOU is also to be signed with Ministry of Minority Affairs so that MANAS could implement the skill development program as a Project Implementation Agency (PIA) under the Seekho-Aur-Kamao scheme.
To begin with, MANAS would operate from the premises leased out by Maulana Azad Education Foundation (MAEF) at Maulana Azad Bhawan, Opposite New Delhi Railway Station Reservation Counter, Chelmsford Road, New Delhi. It would also open branch of MANAS in Bhopal, Jaipur & in Tamil Nadu on identified Wakf Properties for providing training in trades with high demand such as Security guards, Drivers, Housekeeping, Health Services, etc. Experts/Faculty members/ consultants will be engaged on contractual basis as per course requirement.
It would get registered as Vocational Training Provider (VTP) by Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGET), Ministry of Labour; as Recruitment Agent (RA) by the Ministry of Overseas India Affairs; Registration under FCRA for funding from abroad; Registration with Income Tax Department under Section 80G for receiving Tax exempted donations.
